Although we currently have 46 active matches (and two more in the works) - Kinship is continually looking for volunteers to be mentors or to be on various committees, including the activity committee, fundraising committee, or other one time event committees.

Currently there are 14 children waiting for mentors, with many more identified as appropriate and in need of Kinship.

Barbie is a 14 year old girl who has made some mistakes, but is working on getting back on track.  Barbie considers herself a "tomboy" who likes all sports, especially swimming, basketball and soccer.  She likes reading, drawing, and snowmobiling.  Barbie really likes ice cream! Barbie wants a mentor to do things together and just hang out.

Aaron is an 11 year old boy who is outgoing and energetic.  Aaron like football, fishing, swimming and riding dirt bikes.  Aaron wants a mentor who will help him keep busy so he doesn't just sit around.  he wants someone to hang out and have fun with.

Adrianna is an active, fun-loving 10 year old girl who likes swimming, bowling, walking, boating and waterskiing.  Her favorite thing is music.  Adrianna wants to meet new people and wants a mentor who will do things with her, like go to the movies.

Carlee is a friendly, talkative 10 year old girl who likes swimming, bike riding and playing games.  Reading is Carlee's favorite subject.  Carlee wants a mentor so they can do their "own" things together.

Kia is a shy but friendly 8 year old girl who likes to do "most stuff".  Kia likes singing, dancing and swimming.  Kia also states she likes to build things.

Aviana is an energetic, funny, fast paced 5 year old girl who likes swimming, reading, drawing, sledding, watching movies and playing dolls.  Aviana wants to be in Kinship because it is more fun that school...  Aviana needs another positive role model and hopes to find someone who will spend some one-on-one time with her.

Kobe is a shy, quiet, 10 year old boy who is fun to be around. Kobe likes fishing, pole and ice fishing. He enjoys playing video games and going to the movie. Kobe would benefit from a mentor who could help him open up. He wants someone to do fun things together.

Natessa is a very lovable, easy to get along with 7 year old girl who loves attention. Natessa does not get out much and could really use a friend willing to pay extra attention to her. Her favorite things are dolls, bike riding, video games, fishing and drawing. She would like to go fishing with her new mentor.

Ciaara is a conservative, shy 10 year old girl who wants someone to talk to about school and stuff.  Ciaara likes writing, drawing, reading and anything to do with animals.  She would like a mentor who has kids her age.  Ciaara would also like to get out into the world more and explore.

Rebecca is an 8 year old girl who is friendly, but shy and quiet.  Rebecca wants to be in Kinship to take advantage of opportunities she would not otherwise have.  She has a hard time staying on task and hopes to improve that.  Rebecca likes riding her bike, coloring and playing outside.  She also likes going to the movies and swimming.

Hanna is a 7 year old girl who is friendly, outgoing and energetic.  Hanna likes reading, riding bike, playing games, and trying new things.  Hanna wants a mentor who will spend time with her and go places.

Elizabeth is a friendly, shy 13 year old girl who needs someone to get out out of the house to do things with.  Elizabeth likes horses, doing hair and makeup, basketball, crafts, and drawing.  One thing Elizabeth really hopes to do with her mentor is go horseback riding.

Brianna is a funny, sweet 11 year old girl who is looking for a mentor to help her with her self-esteem.  Brianna enjoys swimming, bike riding, talking, and playing board games and card games.  Brianna would like to learn to ride and care for horses and other animals.

Tanner is an energetic, outgoing 9 year old who would like a male role model in his life to boost his self-esteem and to have someone to hang out with.  Tanner likes hunting, fishing, bowling, four wheeling, swimming and everything else too.  Tanner is also interested in hockey, wrestling, snowmobiling and auto racing. 

Won't you please consider spending an hour a week with one of these children.  Just ask one of our mentors how rewarding their hour a week is!!!  For more information, contact Patti at 453-1910.
