Jayden passed away on July 16, 2015, at the young age of 6; he was born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). The defect Jayden was born with is called Hypo plastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He underwent 3 open heart surgeries in his short lifetime. The first one being at just 4 days of age. Several months after his 3rd surgery they realized he was in heart failure, and was then listed for a heart transplant. After 3 1/2 long months the call came in that they had found a match for him. Jayden received his heart transplant on July 16, 2013. On January 19, 2015, he suffered a heart attack. His new heart was failing fast so he was then re-listed for a 2nd heart transplant. He remained hospitalized waiting for his new angel heart, but his health continued to deteriorate. (In May of 2015 he was placed with 2 Berlin Hearts (mechanical hearts). Sadly Jayden never recovered and lost his courageous battle with CHD exactly 2 years to the day he received his angel heart, July 16, 2015.
